How to hook up a Wii to internet with Linksys?

Slight problem. See : when we got the linksys router, everything was working fine and dandy. Then, it wouldn't work, so we had to switch the DSL to the Desktop Computer, and then back to the WiFi Router. Well, as we did this, we decided to pword protect the Linksys with a Proxy... or whatever it is. It worked fine for a while, until it acted up AGAIN. So, we called a Windstream Operator (or whatever) and they had us add another pword box before the proxy. So, that's the history. What I want to do, is hook up the Wii to internet Via the Wireless Router. The Wii can handle Proxies, but the pword box before the proxy stops it, (I think) If you managed to read all this, HELP!
