What was the life of Plains people before and after the arrival of white settlers? ?

They were nomads, they moved around to follow the food which was mostly buffalo and to escape the harsh elements. They lived off the land and didn't take anything that couldn't be replenished. All in all in worked well for them, other than the tribal wars they would encounter.
