Which subfield do you find most intriguing; Biological, Clinical, Cognitive, Comparative, or Developmental?
All schools of thought are vital in the mental growth of each individual . From all of my schooling and research the most practical area in psychology is the cognitive and developmental area in the nurturing of an infant until adulthood. These areas involve the learning retention via environmental stimuli as well as adaptation within society. The biological process ala nature involves the genetic predisposition that we all are ped down from our ancestors. Unfortunately, millions of people worldwide suffer from mental brain diseases such as schizophrenia, usually the onset starting around the age of twenty to twenty four. Also, bipolar and severe mood disorders that can be inherited primarily from the mothers gene pool. The clinical area of study is one of the most common and vital within the school of thought as well as the industrial field. Psychology is so broad and whatever area one pursues will benefit society in the long run. Take care Panther and good luck:)
