Is the notion of protectionism right or wrong?

No not racist, having common sense to ensure your country survives. My family has been in the UK for over 80 years. I want this country to succeed and will do everything in my power to ensure it does. That does NOT mean an open door policy on immigration and jobs. Do the English/Welsh/Scots/Irish want to keep the identity of their countries? If so they should act now or the whole place will be under concrete and will be a third world Banana State in 20 years.
